We help you manage the project safely from A to Z
Whatever type of project you start up, project management is a key part. It ties your project together and forms the basis for you to achieve your goals successfully. At DIS/CREADIS, project management is not just about templates and schedules, but about getting people to work together. That’s why we can help you lead your project safely to its goal.
Too many projects fail, and you can always trace the cause back to their start. In short, this means that projects fail because they are not set up for success from the start.
At DIS/CREADIS, we do something about this. When our project managers start a new project for a customer, it is always our starting point to identify and define the project’s value chain, and thus its risks. We can then set up the project so that it has the best conditions to achieve its goals successfully.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT IS A CRAFT
At DIS/CREADIS, we see project management as a professional discipline on an equal footing with different engineering disciplines. It is a craft that requires strong expertise in areas such as quality assurance and planning, risk management and team management.
Our project managers understand your value chain and help ensure that the business case behind the project holds up. They orchestrate the project to enable the project team to collaborate and develop solutions and products that create value for you.
A structured project start is the key to success
Projects don't fail suddenly and completely out of the blue. They fail because critical risks are overlooked from the start, and therefore the project follows the so-called “blood-red failure curve” where the stress level in the project just grows and grows. Our experience shows very clearly that if you rush through the initial phases to get started, then there is a high probability that the project will fail.
A structured project start is therefore crucial to a project’s success.
THE DIS/CREADIS 3-5-5 PROJECT MODEL
At DIS/CREADIS, we work on the basis of our 3-5-5 project model, which provides us with the necessary tools and a common language that helps us to manage the projects safely to completion.
The project model defines three overall criteria for when a project is a success, five fundamental project management skills and our five fundamental values. This is the foundation of our approach to all our projects: They are investments and must be handled correctly in order to provide the expected benefits for our customers, DIS and the project team. This is our mindset when we do projects.
Three overall success criteria:
- valuable to the customer
- a good investment for DIS/CREADIS
- instructive, create community and energize the team
5 fundamental skills:
- Quality and planning
- Business case
- Progress and status
- Risk and issue management
The project process is structured according to four project phases, which ensure that we set up the project correctly and that progress follows the “green” project curve, where risks and issues are handled continuously, so that the project is successfully completed.
Project management is collaboration between people
The central theme of our approach to projects is that projects are about people, and to succeed they need to pull hard in the same direction. It is crucial that projects are not about filling out templates or performing rituals.
